Why "Kimetsu no Yaiba" is so popular?
I want to say first, I'm also a big fun of "Kimetsu(Kimetsu : Kimetsu no Yaiba). I bought all comics. But I wonder why this comic became so popular, and what's the key factor of this big hit. It's not bright story but cruel and painful story, in spite of that it is received wide range of generation.
One opinion is that this story is cosisted of Japanese traditional hit contents and new trends* . I agree this opinion, but I think there is another factor. It is the sense of value. Especially millennials have this sense of value, that is " I don't care anything. We all not especially people. We can't change the world." In short they have hopelessness I think.
The Kimetsu' hero "Tanjiro" deny and encourage himself and his collegues. He gives a lot of hope since he experience cruel fate. His gifts deliver readers through the comics. We symphasize him and feel we want to eoncourage him and his collegues. So I think this story sting the heart readers who feel hopelessness especially millennials.
It is the my opinion, so maybe there are different opinions. This situation that we discuss about one contents impress big contents I feel.
